Pretreatment and prepressing section is a very important section before extraction.It will directly affect extraction effect.

The set of pretreatment and prepressing equipment of sunflower seeds oil press line includes cleaning, dehulling, separating, drying, crushing, softening, germ pressing, steaming, roasting and prepressing sections and so on.

1.Cleaning of sunflower seed oil production line,sunflower seed oil making machine
1).According to different particle size between oilseeds and impurities,remove big and small impurities from oilseeds with vibrating screen.
2).Stones removal.According to different specific gravity and suspended velocity between oilseeds and stones, stones fall down and oilseeds suspend under the action of air flow to separate stones from oilseeds.
3).Magnetic selection.It uses magnet to remove metal impurities from oilseeds.Strong and uniform magnetism attract metals automaically and remove metals to prevent oilseeds carrying stones away, attracted metals by permanent magnet fall down automatically when metals reach non-magnetic area.
4).Screening Section.Remove impurities whose size is similiar to oilseeds according to different mechanical performance between oilseeds and clods, crush clods and then separate them through screen selection or wind selection.

Adopt wind selection and screen selection methods to separate husks from kernels.

Before flaking, crush big oilseeds into smaller pieces to increase superficial area, beneficial for transfering softening temperature and moisture, improve softening efficiency.

Vegetable Oil Refining Machines - Solution and Technology

Edible oil refining contains vegetable oil refining, animal oil refining, microbial oil refining.The crude oil refining production line can remove impurity of oil and obtain high quality standard finished refined oil through washed degumming, alkali refining soap removal, mixed proportion, blenching, filtration, physical deacidification and deodorization, crystallization and maturing.

Refining is carried out either on batch operation or as continuous operation.With certain oils even physical refining can be carried out instead of chemical.

Batch Refining Plant
Refining of vegetable oils is essential to ensure removal of gums, waxes, phosphatides and free fatty acid (F.F.A.) from the oil;To impart uniform colour by removal of colouring pigments and to get rid of unpleasant smell from the oil by removal of odiferous matter.
The equipment involved are Neutralizer, Bleacher, Deodorizer, Heat Exchanger, High & low vacuum equipment & Filters.

Continuous Refining Line Plant
Refining of vegetable oils is essential to ensure removal of Gums, Waxes, Phosphatides and Free Fatty Acids (F.F.A.) from the oils.

Continuous Refining will comprise of following steps:-

Pretreatment / Degumming Section:-
Here the oils are given acidic treatment where by gums are precipitated and separated out by centrifugal separation or some times only gum conditioning is carried out (when gum content is low) and gums are separated in subsequent neutralising process.

Neutralising Section:-
The pretreated oil is subjected to Alkali Refining.The caustic soda reacts with Free Fatty Acids (F.F.A.) present in the oil and forms soap stock, the soap stock is separated out by centrifugal separator, oil is washed with water for complete removal of soap stock.The wash water is separated out by centrifugal separators.

Bleaching Section:-
The neutralized oil is treated with bleaching earth/activated carbon for removal of colouring pigments.The bleaching agent is filtered out in vertical pressure leaf filters.Sinoder design ensures uniform consistency in colour with minimum requirement of bleaching agent.The bleaching line is versatile and adoptable for all varieties of vegetable oils.

Deodorization Process:-
As the name suggest process is meant for removal of odour.Every vegetable oil has its own distinct natural odour.During neutralization and bleaching operation unpleasant odour is imparted to the oil, it is therefore essential to remove this odour.The deodorisation is essentially a process of removal of odiferous matter.The operation is carried out at high temperature by injecting open steam and maintaining high vacuum at which time all odoriferous matter is distilled off and carried away to barometric condensors through vacuum system.The resultant oil is odourless - deodorized oil.

Dewaxing Section :-
Oils like sunflower oil or maize germ oil (corn oil) have waxes present in them.At low temperature these waxes gives hazy appearance to oil, which is not liked by consumers.It is therefore essential to remove these waxes prior to bottling and marketing of oil.Sinoder offers dewaxing units.

Brief Introduction of Solvent Extraction Plants
Solvent Extraction, as the name suggests is a process to extract the oil from oil bearing materials by means of Solvent, Solvent used being normal Hexane - a petroleum bye product.
The plant is designed to extract oil directly from oil seed containing less than 20% oil like soyabean after flaking or it extracts oils from prepressed or fully pressed cake of seeds containing more than 20% oil like sunflower, peanuts, cotton seed, palm kernel, canola, copra, castor and variety of other materials.
Sinoder's proven design is simple, robust, operator friendly flexible for easy change over of the process material and with inbuilt safety features.Sinoder Solvent Extraction plants have been operating for more than three decades.
The extractor is horizontal in construction a concept with universal acceptance, infact most of the extraction plants working through out the world have adopted horizontal design of extractor.The extractor works on counter current, moving bed principal with variable bed height and variable speed mechanism permitting excellent penetration and percolation of solvent for absolute extraction.The low speed of extractor conveyor ensures almost no maintenance.Distillation takes place under vacuum and desolventising of meal is done in liberally designed desolventiser Toaster.For solvent recovery adequate capacity condensors and vent air stripping system is provided.
